Traditional Art / Printing / Wood Block

Hey guys, I've received several print requests for this thing. I've had it as a print in my shop for quite some time now, so please drop by and check it out! [link]

The image is 6'9" tall on canvas that's about 7'4" tall. Relief print with screened color and painted color (blue). This is part of my ongoing undergraduate print series that deals with the issues that children's stories/TV programs don't address. The overall notion here is that most children's programming consists of promoting good habits, good morals, good good good. However, in order for something to be understood as "good," there has to be something bad for it to contrast with. this particular print somewhat deviates from that because I simply wanted to exaggerate the "bear" part of the Care Bears.

Hehe, and there's a whole army of these Bears, not to mention their Cousins, Braveheart Lion or Lotsa Heart Elephant would be quite Interesting to see in Real Life Versions
